Daughter of Captain Tom: Don’t Cope With Grief Alone

Hannah Ingram-Moore remembers her father, who died at the age of 100. He had become a national hero in Great Britain with a fundraising campaign.
The daughter of British fundraiser Captain Tom Moore, who died in February, encouraged mourners to seek help at Christmas.
“It can be hard, but don’t feel alone. There are people you can talk to, ”Hannah Ingram-Moore told the BBC, according to a report released on Saturday.
Her father, who died at the age of 100, was part of what Christmas is all about, Ingram-Moore said, adding “He loved it.” He was always responsible for the turkey and the baked potatoes. It is now “really emotional” to take care of the tasks that he used to do on Christmas Day without him. There are definitely moments of sadness. “But we also have the pure joy of what he has left the world,” said Ingram-Moore.
World War II veteran Captain Tom, who most recently contracted Covid-19 himself, had collected the equivalent of almost 39 million euros in donations for the NHS health service, which was under pressure during the pandemic. For this he had walked 100 laps through his backyard with his rollator. He became a national hero almost overnight. Queen Elizabeth II (95) knighted him for it.
