The Staatsballett Hannover has a new director. After Marco Goecke had smeared dog feces on the face of a dance critic and had to go in mid-February, his deputy Christian Blossfeld took over the management of the company and thus moved up from the second to the front row. As opera director Laura Berman announced at the season press conference, the 42-year-old’s contract will end in 2029 when her own term of office expires.
