Hu Jintao does not want to leave. This can be seen in the footage showing the 79-year-old former Chinese leader being escorted by two ushers out of the closing session of the party congress in Beijing. When they help him up, Hu briefly discusses with them. Before he is led out, he bends down to his successor Xi Jinping and his previous number two, Li Keqiang, says something and pats them on the shoulder. Then he goes off the stage, led by the arm by one of the ushers.
