children and staff evacuated after a fire in a crèche in Dinard

This was not a drill. This Friday, a nursery had to be evacuated in Dinard (Ille-et-Vilaine) after a fire started shortly after 5 p.m. According to the firefighters who quickly arrived on the scene, sixteen children and three members of staff had to be evacuated from the multi-reception of the rue des Minées, invaded by smoke. The emergency services specify that the fire was “relatively limited”, but that significant fumes of smoke were observed. According to the first observations, it is a defective dishwasher which would be at the origin of the disaster.

The fire caused no injuries. Three people were taken to the fire department ambulance for examination. All had inhaled fumes. A dozen firefighters from the rescue centers of Dinard, Pleurtuit and Tinténiac were present on the scene.
