Childminders will finally be able to continue to welcome children for the next three weeks, union sources announced on Friday, the day after a government mess around this profession.
“The childminders will finally be able to work and the Nursery Assistants Houses (Mam) remain open in a maximum of ten children,” Véronique Delaitre (FO) told AFP, after a meeting with the Secretary of State for ‘Childhood Adrien Taquet. According to Lydia Loisel (Professional union of childminders), for vulnerable employees or those to whom parents decide not to entrust their child, a system of “exceptional allowances” will be put in place as during the first confinement.
Nurseries and schools closed
This subject was the subject of a quack in Matignon, which had announced Thursday evening the end of the reception of children by the nursery assistants, “in coherence with the nurseries”. The President of the Republic announced on Wednesday the closure of nurseries and primary schools for three weeks, until April 26.
