STORY: Hollywood action in Iowa – and in real life at that. In the video now released by the Carroll Police Department, an officer clings to a car whose driver is trying to flee. Patrick McCarty is the name of the police officer who initially approached the vehicle. According to official information, the officers then realized that there was an arrest warrant for the occupants of the car. A chase begins, with the policeman on the hood. The whole thing happened in 2021, but the recordings were only recently released by the police. The persecuted man was later sentenced to prison. Officer Patrick McCarty ended up falling off the suspect’s car. He injured his back in the process.
