Change of supplier at the DFB: The dark side of Nike – Economy

John Donahoe, 63, is under pressure. Business for the sporting goods manufacturer Nike, which he runs, is not going well. Nike’s sales are expected to fall in the coming months, when there are two major global events, the European Football Championship in Germany and the Olympic Games in Paris, which experience has shown to boost sales of sporting goods enormously. Most recently, Donahoe had to revise his own forecasts downwards. Profits also fell; 1,700 jobs will be cut by the end of 2026 and two billion euros will be saved.
