Newcastle beats PSG – Lewandowski is injured at Barca

Newcastle United celebrated their first victory in the Champions League in 20 years.
Newcastle United has their first win in the Champions League celebrated for 20 years.
In Dortmund Group F, the English first division football team won 4:1 (2:0) against Paris Saint-Germain. Miguel Almirón (17th minute), Dan Burn (39th), Sean Longstaff (50th) and ex-Hoffenheim player Fabian Schär (90th + 1) scored a dream goal for Newcastle. Lucas Hernández, who came from FC Bayern before the season, scored Paris’s consolation goal (56th). After two matchdays, Newcastle leads the table with four points ahead of Paris (3), AC Milan (2) and Dortmund (1).
Lewandowski out injured
Barcelona’s Robert Lewandowski is threatened with a longer forced break. The Catalans’ starting striker was substituted early in the Spanish champions’ Champions League game at FC Porto due to a suspected ankle injury. After a rough tackle from Porto’s David Carmo, Lewandowski held his left ankle, shortly afterwards the 35-year-old was replaced by Ferran Torres, who shortly afterwards scored the winning goal (45th + 1).
In the second game of Group H, Mark van Bommel once again missed his first win in the Champions League as coach. The former Bayern professional lost 2:3 (2:0) against Shakhtar Donetsk with the Belgian champions Royal Antwerp.
Atlético Madrid, on the other hand, achieved their first success on the second matchday of Group E, winning 3-2 (2-2) against Dutch champions Feyenoord Rotterdam. Lazio celebrated a late win at Celtic Glasgow thanks to Pedro Rodriguez, who scored in the fifth minute of stoppage time. Red Star Belgrade and Young Boys Bern drew 2-2.
