I’m embarrassed that it happened so quickly.” In 2017, she announced that she had married Simon Konecki, her son’s father. In 2019 they separated. After the end of their marriage, she had “the most terrible panic attacks,” she said. Shirin David, 26, rapper, encourages victims of sexual violence to make their experiences public. “We need these stories from women, not because we are addicted to scandal, but because we only talk about the problems then,” she told the mirrors. Only when women were no longer quietly at home would anything change. In the summer there was a “Me Too” debate in the German rap scene. Shirin David also commented on sexual violence in an Instagram story at the time and was then attacked. To the mirrors she said now: “I will always believe any alleged rape victim.” Basically, it is very difficult for women to talk about it. “Why do we all know a woman who has already been sexually molested, but we don’t know any perpetrators?”

Viktoria Radvanyi, Hungarian LGBTQ activist, has set an example for human rights – and against the Hungarian government. At the MTV Europe Music Awards in Budapest, she received the Generation Change award and said, “All people are born the same. Period.” Radvanyi has long been involved in organizing the “Budapest Pride” march. In the previous year, the award ceremony was only held in online format due to the corona pandemic. This time the event took place in a fully occupied sports arena. Viktor Orban’s Chancellery Minister had previously said that this event would be used as a “provocation against the government”. The right-wing national government of Hungary pursues a policy openly directed against homosexuals.
