Caught by a wave, a 10-year-old child saved from drowning by firefighters

A tragedy was narrowly avoided late Sunday afternoon in the town of Ploemeur near Lorient (Morbihan). While he was on Kaolins beach, a 10-year-old child was caught by a wave a little before 5:30 p.m., we learned from the Morbihan departmental fire and rescue service. The alert was immediately raised and thirteen firefighters were mobilized to rescue the boy.
