Kick-off for a new season of “The Voice of Germany”. There are old friends and newcomers. There could be more women, says Stefanie Kloß.

Silbermond frontwoman Stefanie Kloß is committed internally to more women’s power in the casting show “The Voice of Germany”. “I keep saying that I wish it would be more balanced and maybe half of the coaches would be women,” said the singer (37, “Light Luggage”) of the German Press Agency. “I know the effort is there.”

In the twelfth season of the show, which will be broadcast on ProSieben and Sat.1 from Thursday (August 18), Kloß is the only woman in the red coaching chair. In addition, their male colleagues Peter Maffay (72), Rea Garvey (49) and Mark Forster (39) are looking for new musical talent.

“But I also know that this year it was generally difficult to get four coaches in these chairs at the same time,” emphasized Kloss. Because after two difficult Corona years, many artists are catching up on their concerts this summer. “Let’s see how it goes in the next few years.”

“The Voice of Germany” has been running since 2011. Since the first season, the male coaches have been in the majority.
