In a direct comparison of the facial expressions, it initially looks as if Linnemann has just been fired and Czaja has been promoted. But that may be because one is now relieved of the burden of a task that the other is only just beginning to envision. General Secretary under the command of a party leader Friedrich Merz, who is by no means uncontroversial at the moment – there are probably nicer, but certainly less complicated jobs.
