Women in particular often hesitate for a long time at work before accepting new challenges. Simone Menne, member of the supervisory board and host of the star-Podcasts “Die Boss”, pleads for more courage. She herself always left when she got into a routine at work. “Then I got restless.” Leaving your own comfort zone is definitely a matter of practice: “For example, if you have difficult conversations, you should first try them in situations where not much can happen,” Menne recommends. It’s good to expose yourself to such moments to realize: It doesn’t hurt at all.
In this episode, Menne also looks back on the third season, in which she spoke to actress Karoline Herfurth, entrepreneur Verena Pausder and astronaut Samantha Cristoforetti, among others. She also faces the criticism of the listeners and reveals what is planned for the fourth season.

Menne also talks about the first results of the newly introduced statutory women’s quota for board members. Unfortunately, the quota only applied where it was prescribed. “I don’t understand why company managers don’t realize that resources are being left behind. And especially in times when we say we desperately need good people. 50 percent of well-trained people in Germany are women. How can I lie leave? Well, that’s inexplicable to me.”
