Health Minister Karl Lauterbach (SPD) and Food and Agriculture Minister Cem Özdemir (Greens) presented the cornerstones of the planned cannabis legalization in Berlin on Wednesday – and since then Jakob Richter has had his hands full. Since then, he and his colleagues have received more than 50 emails from the “Cannabis Social Club Munich”, they all want to become members so that they can legally consume the drug in the future – “a crazy day for us,” says Richter. More than 100 people are already on the waiting list for the club, because nobody can be admitted yet.
