By adorning itself with graffiti, pottery is brought up to date

When we talk to you about pottery, do you still imagine slightly old-fashioned, earth-colored pieces that are only used to decorate gardens and balconies? Guest on the set of the show Hello Ile-de-France of 20 Minutes TVJulien Lebbihi, painter and ceramist, came to break the clichés and preconceived ideas, by mixing pottery and graffiti.

“I see a work of art”

More than just pottery, “I see a work of art,” comments Félicité Kindoki, presenter of the show, about Julien Lebbihi’s very contemporary vase.

To achieve this “decorative objective”, it takes 3 to 4 days of full work. Cutting, painting, illustration, the artisan shows the stages of making these “very urban”, “young” and “contemporary” objects which combine graffiti techniques with the art of pottery.
