31 minutes: Hajrulla lets the BVB opponents stand like slalom poles and hits them from 16 meters. Just over.

28 minutes: BVB has not been able to do much in forward gear since the initial phase. Instead, you run into a counterattack again. In the end, Hummels clears his head into Kobel’s arms.

23 minutes: That was nothing! Erfurt countered after a corner. Özcan struggles in the penalty area and cannot get the ball away. Bensebaini alludes to an opponent who crosses and Elva shoots in flat to make it 1-0 for Erfurt. Kobel didn’t look good either.

22 minutes: GOAL FOR ERFURT!

20 minutes: Malen crosses to the other side of the box, where Duranville goes for the ball but fails to put it dangerously on target.

18 minutes: Julien Duranville flashes his technical skills with a fine dribbling. An Erfurt finally clears with difficulty to throw in for BVB.

16 minutes: Julian Brandt takes the corner, but it is headed straight out of the penalty area.

15 minutes: BVB is clearly dominant, Erfurt also offers a lot of space. Malen tries a flat pass into the middle, but Zeller clears for a corner.

13 minutes: Meunier crosses again without pressure into the penalty area. Bensebaini rushes to the far post, but misses the ball that bounces off high.

11 minutes: Julian Brandt releases Donyell Malen. The Dutchman has all the options from a half-left position in the penalty area, but his low shot to the far corner is far too weak and therefore no problem for Schellenberg.

10 minutes: Now things are getting tricky in front of the BVB goal, but Mats Hummels intervenes with a fair tackle. Made strong by him.

9 minutes: Marco Reus put the following free kick well over the goal.

8 minutes: Malen passes his opponent Badu on the left. He only knows how to help himself with a foul just before the penalty area and sees yellow.

6 minutes: Julian Brandt deducts halfway from the penalty line. Schellenberg dives for the ball and fends off. Another good opportunity for BVB.

3rd minute: Big chance now for painting too. He first falls in the penalty area, but gets up straight away and retrieves the ball. The conclusion from the shortest distance and acute angle then fails completely. Clearly past the gate.

1st minute: Meunier breaks through straight away on the right and puts a cross right on Haller’s head. He doesn’t hit the ball properly. That’s why goalkeeper Schellenberg can easily parry.

1st minute: Mats Hummels proceeds to choose a seat and then referee Oliver Lossius whistles!

4:32 p.m.: The teams are now coming onto the pitch with a slight delay.

4:29 p.m.: Now the BVB substitutes are back on the pitch. The lawn sprinklers are still running.

4:15 p.m.: It starts in a quarter of an hour. BVB is led by Mats Hummels, who also wore the captain’s armband in Oberhausen.

4:10 p.m.: Rot-Weiss Erfurt has rolled out the red carpet. The BVB pros now step onto the lawn to warm up.

4:03 p.m.: The top scorer of the previous friendlies is Marco Reus. The ex-captain scored twice against Rhynern and scored another goal against Oberhausen.

BVB against Erfurt in the live ticker: Terzic calls for improvements

3:48 p.m.: “We didn’t like some things, we have to do them much better,” said Edin Terzic after the game against Oberhausen. “We had to defend a lot of counterattacks and dangerous set pieces. It is extremely important for us that we get back into rhythm quickly.”

You should be able to see something of that today, even though the national players have only been in training for a week. Above all, they want to concede fewer goals in the future: “We have made that our goal.”

3:42 p.m.: For Borussia Dortmund, the test against Rot-Weiss Erfurt is the third appearance in the young season. Without any national players, there was a convincing 7-0 BVB victory against Westfalia Rhynern and then a weak performance in the 3-2 win against Rot-Weiss Oberhausen.

3:38 p.m.: These BVB players are available to coach Edin Terzic for a later substitution:

On the bench: Meyer, Nmecha, Hazard, Wolf, Moukoko, Can, Ryerson, Pohlmann, Collins, Papadopoulos, Bamba, Besong

BVB against Rot-Weiss Erfurt in the live ticker: Drivers should make a wide berth around the stadium

First report, Friday (July 21), 6 p.m.: BVB is traveling to Thuringia for its third test match in preparation for the 2023/24 season. There, Dortmund Borussia meets the regional league team Rot-Weiss Erfurt before the BVB entourage flies to the USA on July 24th.

Before the game there is important information for the black and yellow supporters. “The resident protection concept is taking effect,” said BVB.

This means: “In this context, there will be a traffic ban and traffic restrictions in the adjacent residential areas. Driving and parking in the zones is only possible for residents. Please drive around the area extensively.” In addition, “there are only very limited parking spaces available in the vicinity of the stadium”.

BVB against Rot-Weiss Erfurt in the live ticker: last test before the trip to the USA

But there is also good news for Borussia Dortmund fans: For the first time in preparation, the internationals, who only started training in mid-July, are likely to take part in a test match during ongoing preparation.

The friendly game last Wednesday (July 19) against Rot-Weiss Oberhausen, which BVB won 3-2, came too early for some BVB pros.

Felix Nmecha, Youssoufa Moukoko and Karim Adeyemi were also missing there. Adeyemi even threatens to miss the Bundesliga opener because of a torn muscle fiber.
