A family from the Allgäu had an uninvited housekeeper during a week-long vacation: When the vacationers returned to their house in Lauben north of Kempten, they met a strange man in the hallway, as the Kempten criminal police announced on Tuesday. The stranger was a burglar who had apparently lived in the house for the past few days. The family called the police, who arrested the 19-year-old. According to the investigation, he entered through the patio door after the family’s departure. In the following days he helped himself to groceries and slept in the house. He also stole items worth hundreds of dollars and cash. An arrest warrant was issued for the man.
