An 18-year-old is said to have been fatally injured by a 17-year-old with a knife during a dispute in the district of Bamberg. The suspect was taken into custody, as the police and the public prosecutor announced on Sunday.
According to the information, the two were traveling in a larger group of people in Burgebrach when the argument broke out for reasons that were initially unclear. The 17-year-old is said to have hit the older man’s head with a bottle. He is also said to have stabbed the 18-year-old with a knife. The young man was taken to the hospital on Saturday night with life-threatening injuries. The public prosecutor’s office issued a pre-trial arrest warrant against the 17-year-old on Sunday, it said. The young people are being investigated for, among other things, attempted manslaughter.
