Few witnesses – mild judgments
The fact that the sentences are comparatively mild despite all of this is mainly due to the fact that there are hardly any witnesses left who can identify specific perpetrators. The process only started four years after the incidents. Then there were numerous interruptions – also because of Corona.
Who exactly was involved in what crime fades in the memories of many refugees. Most of them have been deported in the meantime or have left the country voluntarily. In some cases, the court could no longer find them.
Six cases were dropped, six defendants were acquitted, fifteen times fined and three defendants were given suspended sentences.
Separate proceedings are still pending
