Bayern Munich are apparently eyeing Jonathan Tah from Bayer Leverkusen. The national soccer player feels honored, but is unlikely to move to the record champions.

National defender Jonathan Tah from German soccer champions Bayer Leverkusen feels honored by the rumored interest from dethroned champions FC Bayern Munich, but a move seems unlikely.

“You are happy when you are associated with a club like this,” said 28-year-old Tah to “Sport Bild”. But he is in “good communication” with Bayer 04.

The club bosses Fernando Carro and Simon Rolfes had emphasized that they wanted to extend Tah’s contract, which expires in 2025. But that won’t happen anytime soon. “I’m concentrating on the two titles we still have to win,” said Tah. “We’ll do everything else after that.” So after the cup final on May 25th against second division team 1. According to “Sport Bild”, a move to Munich was “never an issue” for Tah. In fact, the central defender, who became a regular in the national team after a strong season, has always cited the English Premier League as his dream destination in the past.
