“Kicker”: Mané no longer plays a role at Bayern

Sadio Mané has been celebrated as a beacon of hope at Bayern Munich. Now a decision has to be made.
According to a “Kicker” report, FC Bayern Munich should go to the Senegalese Sadio Mané have announced that he will no longer play a role in the plans for the new season.
The 31-year-old Mané is also about saving his salary in order to be able to use it elsewhere, it said. According to consistent media reports, Mané is said to be courted by several clubs from Saudi Arabia.
Mané switched from England to the German record champions in Munich last summer for 32 million euros plus bonuses, but was not able to meet the expectations placed in him there and was recently no longer a regular. He scored twelve goals in 38 competitive appearances. The low point of his debut season in Munich was an incident with Leroy Sané in the Champions League quarter-finals against Manchester City: Mané hit his team-mate in the face at the time.
Mané himself had recently indicated that he wanted to continue playing for Bayern. “Yes, God willing,” he replied on the Senegalese television station 2sTV when asked if he would stay with the record champions. “If all goes well, I will return.”
