Bundesliga in the star check
“F … ing idiot”: Dortmund scolds and fights against Bayern
The game against Eintracht Frankfurt showed the two faces of Dortmund. Now Bayern are “only” six points ahead. But in order to make the league really exciting, BVB has to change one thing. The Bundesliga in star-Check.
That’s how the game day went

Excitement of the game day
While BVB had more or less submitted to a defeat in the first half against Frankfurt, Dortmund really turned it up again in half time 2. Striker Erling Haaland shot a little over the target. After Jude Bellingham’s goal to make it 2-2 (87th), he wanted to get the ball out of the net, but was pushed by opponent Martin Hinteregger – and then scolded: “F … you idiot! F … ing idiot!”. Referee Robert Schröder showed the fighters the yellow card.
Match day winner
It was not foreseeable for a long time that BVB would win the game against Eintracht Frankfurt 3-2 at the last minute after the early 2-0 deficit. So Dortmund were able to take advantage of the defeat of leaders Bayern and reduced the gap to six points. That can give the BVB team a boost and finally put an end to the team’s form fluctuations. That will be necessary in order to actually jeopardize the championship of Bayern again. Because one can hardly expect that Munich will leave many points behind. For more tension in the Bundesliga, BVB needs constant top form. Only then is this spectacular start in the second half of the season worth anything.
Matchday losers
VfL Wolfsburg’s claim must be to play at least in the Europa League. Instead, it set the tenth loss of the season against VfL Bochum on Sunday. 14th place goes to the wolves. The last Europa League place is eight points away. The team’s appearance in Bochum does not indicate that they are quickly attacking above under coach Florian Kohfeldt. After six defeats in a row, the expensive squad has to look down. Can the team also fight for relegation?
You should see this gate (again)
Patrik Schick from Bayer Leverkusen simply has a run. In the 38th minute he gave Bayer Leverkusen a 1-0 lead against Union Berlin – and how! On the way to the baseline, he knocks the ball under the crossbar from an acute angle from the left. No chance for the Berlin goalkeeper Andreas Luthe. The fact that it was 2-2 in the end will have annoyed Schick – despite his 17th goal of the season.
