Coach, squad, transfers: Eberl’s to-do list at FC Bayern

Tough tasks await Max Eberl at FC Bayern. He has to look for a coach and rebuild the team. Today he can describe how he wants to do that.
The task could be more challenging for Max Eberl can hardly be at this FC Bayern Munich. The German football leader, who is used to success, is threatened with his first season without a title, and a new coach also needs to be found and the team needs to be rebuilt.
Eberl will be asked today at his official presentation in the Allianz Arena how the new sports director hired by RB Leipzig wants to lead the Munich team back to sovereignty and success. The press conference with Bayern’s new hope begins at 11 a.m.

Eberl signed for more than three years until June 2027. FCB announced this on after the supervisory board had finally approved the prominent transfer for the executive suite. Eberl’s former club RB Leipzig, where the manager has recently been on leave for months, will receive a transfer fee for the 50-year-old.
Bayern are paying a lot for the top official, who once learned to play football with the in-house youth team and became a professional. The expectations of the long-time successful manager of Borussia Mönchengladbach are correspondingly high. “We are convinced that he will successfully shape and shape the future of this club,” said club president Herbert Hainer.
Eberl has the following tasks
Search for a coach: Thomas Tuchel’s contract ends early in the summer, the coach and the team haven’t really warmed up to each other in all these months. Regardless of transfers, Eberl is primarily in demand as a moderator and motivator in order to get the best possible performance out of the team. Some former top performers have recently been far from fulfilling their potential.

Coach Tuchel had repeatedly complained that the squad was too thin in some positions – he often had to improvise due to injuries and assign players completely unfamiliar roles.
