They will win the DFB Cup together in 2021. Now BVB midfielder Emre Can is hoping for Jadon Sancho’s return and renewed success.

Captain Emre Can would be happy about a return of his former teammate Jadon Sancho is “extremely” happy about Borussia Dortmund.

“Because I think extremely highly of Jadon. He is a difference player, 100 percent,” said Can (29) in a Sky interview at the Bundesliga club’s winter training camp in Marbella, Spain.

Sancho is always good for a goal and an assist: “Jadon will definitely help us if he comes. He has extreme talent.” Both won the DFB Cup together with BVB in 2021.

It is eagerly awaited to see whether the Manchester United professional will join the fifth-place squad in Marbella today. “Bild” reported on an agreement in talks about a loan deal for the 23-year-old. According to “WAZ”, however, it is unlikely that Sancho will arrive in Marbella today. The transfer has a hitch – as does the hoped-for signing of defender Ian Maatsen from Chelsea. Sancho hasn’t played for more than four months. He could travel to Dortmund’s training camp in Spain, which is scheduled to run until January 9th. The club has not yet confirmed this.

Sancho moved from BVB to the top English club in 2021 for 85 million euros, but was unable to build on his performance at Manchester United. He was recently released from professional training and his contract in England runs until the summer of June 2026.
