The ravages of time are also gnawing at the grass pitches of the approximately 30-year-old TSV Hofolding sports facility. The main committee of the Brunnthal municipal council has now unanimously approved a total of almost 67,000 euros for their renovation. And the sports club will also contribute to the costs and work. So the lawn playing field is to get a new sand surface, whereby bumps and holes are leveled, which represent a safety risk. A thin layer of sand is also part of maintenance and ensures that the lawn surface is not smeared and slippery in wet weather. In addition, a new irrigation system and waste paper baskets are purchased.
The Brunnthal City Council decided to renovate the floodlight system for the facility in September 2018. Now both sports fields are to be equipped with LED lighting, which will cost an estimated 60,000 euros, whereby the association is to apply for funding totaling 55 percent from the Federal Environment Ministry and the Bavarian State Sports Association (BLSV).
The association will also take care of new seating on the main square on its own. The athletes also take care of the maintenance and care of the green areas around the clubhouse and along Tannenstrasse. To keep troublemakers away, the football fields are to be cordoned off.
