Brunnthal: Traffic jam after a rear-end collision on the A 8 – district of Munich

Four people were slightly injured in a rear-end collision on the A 8 near Brunnthal on Sunday afternoon. While the accident was being recorded and the rescue work was being carried out, two lanes had to be closed at the level of the accident site, resulting in a backlog of around six kilometers in the direction of Munich. According to the Holzkirchen motorway police, a 57-year-old from Germeringer caused the accident around 4:30 p.m. when he drove into the left lane for an unknown reason on the car of a 59-year-old from Freisinger, who was pushed onto another vehicle as a result. All vehicles had to be towed. The police estimate the total damage at 22,000 euros.
