Due to renovation work, there are massive restrictions on two consecutive nights at the Hofoldinger Forst junction of the A 8 motorway. The Autobahndirektion Südbayern reports that the access and exit ramps to the junction in the direction of Munich will be closed on the nights of Tuesday and Wednesday, April 26th and 27th. The closure lasts from 8 p.m. the evening of the previous day until 6 a.m. in the morning. The work is unavoidable, says the motorway directorate, in order to renew the roadway in the junction area and thus ensure safe navigability in the future. During the construction work, traffic to and from the Salzburg autobahn will be routed via the signposted diversion routes U 1 and U 38 and the neighboring junctions. Because the work would be carried out outdoors, weather-related changes or postponements could become necessary at any time.
