“Brotzeit & Spiele” in Icking: humorous through the autumn – Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen

The Ickinger impresario Wolfgang Ramadan not only likes it theatrical, he is also a friend of the rhyming word. This time he prefaced the autumn program of his “Brotzeit & Spiele” series with a small poem: “Humor is when you laugh anyway / culture is when you do it anyway”. A lot of both are offered in the Dorfen clubhouse in autumn. Ramadan has planned four cabaret evenings with popular artists, “whose performances in Munich and elsewhere are always fully booked,” he says.

On Friday, September 23rd, Christine Eixenberger will be on stage with her program “Freedom of imagination”. The entertainer, who was awarded the Bavarian Cabaret Prize in 2019, “wears her heart on her sleeve, the red pencil in her hand and the break gong in her ear,” says the announcement. She tells witty stories about citizens and damsels, about the power of the markets and the search for that one mystical, most Bavarian of all places: the ominous “Dahoam”.

No less well known is the cabaret artist Franziska Wanninger, who expresses her heart’s desire on Saturday, October 1: “For me it should hail red roses”. She sees her solo program as a whimsical homage to lightness. She humorously shows “that happiness doesn’t begin with a robot lawn mower, but ends with spelled crackers”.

They bring great music diatonic on November 12th in the clubhouse. They mix folk music and polka with blues, reggae and waltz. At the same time, Otto Göttler, Landy Landinger and Alfons Hefter have a political message: “Show attitude” is their program, which propagates fairness, compassion and a humorous togetherness.

“Seriously?!” asks singer-songwriter Mathias Kellner at the end on December 8th. With his rough and gently sung songs about God and the world as well as curious stories from the Bavarian province, the Upper Palatinate once again blurs the boundaries between music and cabaret.

Ramadan, who has been making a contribution to “basic cultural provision” in twelve Upper Bavarian towns and communities for 16 years, thanks his guests for their support, understanding and patience. “After more than two and a half years of the state of emergency, we can finally present the popular subscription to our audience again.”
