When Marcus Endres talks about the plans that his company, Terrain Energy, is pursuing in Holzkirchen, it all sounds very simple. “We’re right,” Endres quotes the motto of the market town in the Upper Bavarian district of Miesbach on the phone. That can even be taken literally, he says, referring to the large amount of natural gas that is supposed to be stored deep in the ground under Holzkirchen. The pipeline is already in place to transport the gas. So far, Endres has not only had a production permit to get it up – also because it lacks a drilling site. “Without support,” he says, “it’s difficult.”
