From promotion hero to cursing lout: Ivan Toney has fallen out with Brentford FC fans.

Brentford FC striker Ivan Toney has apologized via social media for insulting statements he made to his employer of all people.

The 25-year-old wrote: “I’m aware of the video of me circulating on social media. In it I use language that is unacceptable. The video was shortened and edited. However, I have to accept that it has that impact. Me It’s clear now that I should never have allowed myself to be put in such a position.”

In the said clip, Toney can be seen saying “F*** Brenford” multiple times during his current vacation in Dubai. His club has already announced an investigation into the incident. Toney, meanwhile, said he “loves” playing for the Bees and says he’s excited to get back to training next week.
