Brenner-Nordzulauf: Aßling wants to continue to defend himself – Ebersberg

The people of Aßling do not want to come to terms with the decision on the route to the north of the Brenner Pass. At the municipal council meeting on Tuesday evening, those present unanimously decided to ask DB Netz AG to reassess the routes. In addition, they want it to be checked again what a route extension close to the existing tracks could look like. The decision was made by the local councilors in front of a full audience – the topic is currently moving the people of Aßling like no other.

There is now a second citizens’ initiative

It is not the case that everyone in Aßling rejects the Limone route, on which the railways decided in mid-July. Coming from Ostermünchen in the district of Rosenheim, the route runs directly past the small districts of Niclasreuth and Dorfen before the new tracks at Lorenzenberg disappear into a tunnel that is around 1.5 kilometers long. This ends at Hamberg, from where the route via Schammach and Taglaching near Kirchseeon is rejoined with the existing route. This means that many farmers and citizens who are far away from the previous railway line are affected – but those who already live on the railway line will not be given a second pair of tracks in front of their noses. The citizens’ initiative “Protects Aßling and the Atteltal” welcomes this – for them lime is clearly the lesser evil.

But now there is a second group, the “Bürgerinitiative Brenner-Nordzulauf district of Ebersberg”, which approached the municipal council meeting with tractors in front of the town hall and made it clear that they did not want to accept the Limone route under any circumstances. So this initiative is also more in line with politics – not only that of the municipal council, but also district administrators, members of parliament and other local politicians in the district have already spoken out decisively against the Limone route and announced their resistance.

Second Mayor Ernst Sporer-Fischbacher (Independent New List), who chaired the meeting on Tuesday evening, can, as he says, understand that today’s residents are opposed to an even greater burden. On the other hand, an expansion close to existing buildings would also bring more noise protection for them, he says, while the Limone route would destroy the landscape, endanger agricultural operations and cause noise pollution for many residents.

In its statement, the municipal council also attached a catalog of demands for a possible existing route. The course of the route must be optimized in order to reduce the impact, it is said, among other things, the “island position” of buildings must be avoided.

According to Sporer-Fischbacher, the Aßlinger municipal councils are hoping for support from the state and federal deputies from the district in their recent attempt to get another route after all. In any case, you’re not going to give up that easily.
