Brenner inflow: protest rally against new construction routes – Ebersberg

In order to express their displeasure with the new lines in the southern district presented by Deutsche Bahn at the beginning of December, the affected municipalities invite you to a demo. The rail company is planning a new line on the section between Grafing train station and the district border, the background being the expected increase in traffic through the Brenner base tunnel. Instead, the neighboring communities are calling for the existing route to be expanded.

It is currently still open where exactly the railway will rebuild, four possible routes in the west of the existing line are currently in the rough planning. However, none of these met with approval from the residents: “The depicted routes are unacceptable and result in a considerable intersection of recreational areas, agricultural areas and living space for people and the environment,” writes Grafing’s mayor Christian Bauer (CSU) in the invitation for the Protest rally. “The required planning on the existing route was not even rudimentarily implemented.”

That is why they want to demonstrate next Saturday, December 18, for a gentler expansion of the railway line. The central location of the event is the street (extension of the sea route in Eisendorf) to the composting plant. It is also possible to get there via the connecting road from Eisendorf to Obereichhofen. The start is at 12 noon, the current infection protection requirements apply, including a mask requirement.
