Nine months after the fatal shooting of a 16-year-old in Bramsche, Lower Saxony, the verdict against the shooter was passed at the Osnabrück regional court.

The Osnabrück regional court has sentenced an 82-year-old to 13 years in prison and admission to a psychiatric hospital for the dastardly murder of a 16-year-old. The man shot his teenage neighbor several times in February in Bramsche, Lower Saxony, fatally wounding him (the star reported). According to the chamber, the convicted person had reduced culpability.

Doubts about the guilt of the Bramsche shooter

In its plea at the beginning of November, the public prosecutor’s office called for a conviction for murder and a prison sentence of 14 years as well as placement in a psychiatric hospital. Further crimes are to be expected and the general public must be protected from the man. The parents of the boy who was killed largely agreed with this demand. The perpetrator’s defense had pleaded for manslaughter and a maximum of 9.5 years in prison and also for placement in a clinic.

The judgment is not yet final and an appeal is possible.
