World champion Tyson Fury does not want to return to the boxing ring.

“A huge thank you to everyone who has contributed to my career over the years & after long hard discussions I have finally decided to retire & on my 34th birthday I say bon voyage,” the WBC heavyweight champion tweeted -Version. Fury turned 34 this Friday.

Fury had announced the opposite a few weeks ago. Three days earlier, he said he wanted to step into the ring for a third time with fellow 38-year-old Derek Chisora. Now the turn. He did not give a reason for his repeated change of heart.

In previous years, the former Klitschko conqueror had announced many things that were no longer valid a little later. In the boxing scene, Fury’s statements are treated with extreme caution.

He had played his last fight on April 23 at Wembley Stadium against his compatriot Dillian Whyte. He won by technical knockout in the sixth round. Fury has 32 wins (23 KOs) in 33 professional fights in his career. One of the three duels against Deontay Wilder from the USA ended in a draw.
