More than seven and a half years after Joshua’s victory over the now 36-year-old opponent, the professional boxers will meet again on August 12 (DAZN) in the O2 Arena in London, as Joshua announced on Twitter.

After the two had already met at amateur level, the now 33-year-old defeated Joshua Whyte in December 2015. The Brit defeated Wladimir Klitschko in 2017 and thereby won three world championship titles. He defended this and a later fourth world championship belt until August 2022.

After his losing duels with Oleksandr Usyk, Joshua won his first boxing match in April with difficulty by a point decision against the American Jermaine Franklin.
