Next BVB shock!
In the cup there was a clear Dortmund 3-0 victory against 1860 Munich, the BVB is in the 2nd round.
Now it comes out: Niklas Süle (26) was injured in the game, which was first reported by Sky Sport. The newcomer is out for the time being with a muscle injury and will miss next Saturday’s game against Bayer Leverkusen (6:30 p.m.).
In the game against the lions, Süle was substituted at half-time. After the game, BVB coach Edin Terzic (39) said the defender “felt something in the front thigh”.
Terzic brought Mats Hummels (33) for Süle, saying: “And that’s the luxury we have, that we no longer have to take any risks, but can substitute someone with Mats Hummels without any losses.”
The coach praised Hummels’ performance: “He came on in the second half and played an excellent game. He was there straight away, very present, very strong in tackles, very clear in the passing game. That’s how we imagine it.”
Now it looks as if defensive veteran Hummels will slip into the starting XI against Bayer.
