The 61-year-old joins the video interview from Amsterdam; his most successful company is based there. The Booking boss travels a lot, he says he doesn’t even spend half the night in his own bed at home in the US state of Connecticut. But as the boss of a hotel booking platform, travel is part of the business. And it’s a good sign, he thinks, because it means the pandemic is over.
