Blue Panther for Caroline Link – Munich

Now can Caroline Link Add another trophy to the little statue from Los Angeles and her many other awards: This year she will receive the “Blue Panther” for best director. The Bavarian State Ministry for Digital announced yesterday that the award was given to her directing work for the drama series “SAFE” (broadcast on ZDF Neo) about therapy sessions for four children in a child and adolescent psychotherapy practice. The “incredible precision in the writing and direction” and the “highly emotional atmosphere” convinced the jury. “I’m really happy about the directing award, which I would never have received without the great empathy of my child actors,” commented the 59-year-old film director and screenwriter from Munich.

Film Minister Judith Gerlach (CSU) will present the award on October 25th in Munich. A total of 20 “Blue Panther” trophies will be awarded on the evening. The “Blue Panther – TV & Streaming Award” was formerly known as the Bavarian Television Prize.
