“Blood Piece” based on Kim de L’Horizon’s “Blood Book” at the Schauspielhaus Zurich – Culture

German Book Prize, Swiss Book Prize, other prizes: “Blood Book” by Kim de L’Horizon was a literary sensation in 2022: the report about a search for oneself, between the sexes, never belonging, full of pain and tenderness, a report about and on the grandmother, the great seas, also called Grosi in Swiss. Kim de L’Horizon grew up near Bern, armed with a fantastically fabulous biography. Kim finished the book in Zurich; it took many years. And now Kim de L’Horizon herself is standing on the stage of the Pfauen, the Schauspielhaus Zurich, and says: “I wrote a book, maybe that’s why you’re here today. For me, the book failed a bit because I actually wanted to come into a different kind of community.”
