Blaibach: A weekend with Lithuanian music and art – Munich

The cultural year “Without Distance: Lithuanian Culture in Bavaria 2021”, which has already shown outstanding art and culture from Lithuania in Munich, Würzburg, Augsburg and Nuremberg, ends with a lively weekend in Blaibach (November 19-21). In addition to the photo exhibition “Ancient Woods” by Gintaras Česonis, who was a resident of Blaibach as a guest, the Aidija Chamber Choir, which has received numerous awards for its interpretation of contemporary Lithuanian music, will perform.

There will also be accordion virtuoso Martynas Levickis, who captivates his audience not only with his skills but also with his charisma. The Ensemble Synaesthesis promises another highlight, most recently awarded the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation award. The musicians will also play the world premiere of “Hadal Zone” by composer Žibuoklė Martinaitytė, who is also resident in Blaibach.
