Bitfinex Launches P2P Trading Platform in Venezuela, Argentina and Colombia

Exchange Bitfinex launched a peer-to-peer (P2P) trading platform in Venezuela, Argentina and Colombia in an announcement on June 27.

Bitfinex Chief Technology Officer Paolo Ardoino suggested that the expansion into three countries is part of the company’s efforts to promote financial services related to digital assets in Latin America.

The announcement comes after Bitfinex’s El Salvador-based company received a digital asset provider license from the country’s National Digital Assets Board in April. The exchange also partnered with Chilean crypto platform OrionX in May. It aims to support local education programs and financial literacy.
