Birth of four Angolan lion cubs at Planète sauvage

Quadruplets! The direction of wild planet announced on Monday the birth of four lion cubs at the animal park of Port-Saint-Père, near Nantes. Brought to life by a lioness named Kreja, the four cubs were born on December 31. They were baptized Kuito, Kumi, Khan and Kwilu. They have been sheltered from the cold and out of sight for the past few months but should make their first outing next weekend, “if the weather is nice”. Lucky visitors may be able to spot them.

This is the third litter of Kreja, a lioness from Angola whose species is, in the wild, classified as vulnerable on the red list of international union for conservation of nature (IUCN).

The fans of Planète sauvage suspected that an exceptional birth was going to be announced after the broadcast, in recent days, of an ultrasound on the park social networks. On February 2, Planète sauvage had already been talked about for another unusual birth, that of two dolphins.
