Biography of Anne Frank’s Diary – Culture

Secondary literature is usually produced by philologists for philologists. This is a self-sufficient cycle that has long since become independent of authors and readers. However, the philologist Thomas Sparr is also Editor-at-Large at Suhrkamp-Verlag, and as such they still have the audience in mind. With his research into Paul Celan’s poem “Death Fugue”, Sparr has already presented a biography of his work that broke out of the scientific cosmos, and with his “Biography of the Diary of Anne Frank” he is clearly addressing a broad readership who is interested in the history of its impact interested in this singular work.
