Billie Eilish and Jesse Rutherford have split. The two are now good friends, said a spokesman for the singer.
Billie Eilish (21) and Jesse Rutherford (31) are going their separate ways again. “We can confirm that Billie and Jesse have amicably split and have remained good friends,” a rep for the singer said the “People” magazine. In addition, he emphasized: “All rumors of strangers are wrong, both are currently single.”
Gucci partner look was remembered
The two have not been spotted together since the Coachella Festival in April. Eilish attended the Met Gala in early May alone. Rutherford, lead singer of rock band The Neighborhood, and the singer were first photographed together in October 2022. They made their first official appearance as a couple in early November on the red carpet of the LACMA Art Film Gala in a quirky Gucci partner look.
The relationship was met with controversy in public, partly because of the age difference. Billie Eilish and Jesse Rutherford took a tongue-in-cheek approach to the Halloween controversy. At a party she was dressed as a baby, he as an old man. In conversation with “Vanity Fair” in November 2022, Eilish emphasized being in control of the relationship. It was not the older man who seduced her, but she who caught him. She also gushed, “I’m really inspired by this person and he’s inspired by me.”
