Here is all you need to know about the fifteenth step between Céret and Andorra la Vella (191.3 km).

The stage profile
We start directly with 18 kilometers of climb to the unlisted pass of Fourtou, just to beat the sprinters. Then, a little moment of breathing before 60 terminals of continuous climb to Font Romeu (and a first category pass strangely placed). Then we pass above 2,000 m altitude for the enjoyment of Colombians and Pogacar, before a last first category pass and end up coasting in the streets of Andorra la Vella. If you’re not dead before.
When to take the antenna?
Around 2.15 p.m., approaching the intermediate sprint of Olette. Beautiful people will have already given up to clear up the peloton, and then we attack the big percentages for three hours!
A little reading in the meantime?
Or rather listening, with our podcast of the week devoted to Pogacar and suspicions of doping seen his mattress.
The anticipated summary of the stage
After a beating start where everyone tries to take advantage of the climb to escape, the sprinters go on strike and take the rhythm of a cyclist. The traditional group of second knife mingles with a few advertising escapes and takes three short minutes, before being rolled over by the yellow jersey group reduced to forty units. When crossing the border, there are already hardly any more than candidates for final victory.
In Pas-de-la-Case, while Thomas Voeckler has stopped the bike to take 3 cartridges and two bottles of Suze, Alaf ‘does honor to his resident status and places a firecracker. Picked up a few kilometers further by what remains of the Ineos, UAE and Jumbo trains, he stops in front of Marion’s camper van to give her son a kiss. In the last ascent, only four men remain: Pogacar, Gaudu, Vingegaard and Carapaz. The lack of oxygen benefits the Colombian, the only one not to choke before diving towards Andorra la Vella.
