The attitude of the Berlinale bosses towards right-wing extremism is clear: because Mariette Rissenbeek and Carlo Chatrian are convinced democrats, they don’t have the slightest sympathy for right-wing radicals of any kind. The fact that the Berlinale is still exposed to a small shitstorm from activists from the film industry is inevitable can probably be understood as the result of a misunderstanding (or a certain willingness to get excited that is typical of the cultural industry).
