Russia heavily bombed Ukraine this morning, targeting in particular energy sites near Odessa and the capital. The Ukrainian army said it had shot down 47 of the 55 missiles fired in the morning, of which about 20 were aimed at kyiv, but the remainder caused damage. The capital, as well as the Odessa and Dnipro regions, suffered from power cuts.
“Eleven people were injured and, unfortunately, 11 others died,” relief spokesman Oleksandre Khorounejy also told Ukrainian television. He said 11 regions were hit in total in these strikes, while Moscow sent other missiles.
