On Thursday morning, the warehouse with machine parts and paper in Berlin-Marzahn caught fire. Even now embers flare up again and again. The operation will probably take another day.

The extinguishing work on the fire in the warehouse in Berlin-Marzahn continue. According to the fire brigade in the morning, the night went as planned. “There was always a fire engine on site, which continued to extinguish the hall from the outside,” said the spokesman.

Accordingly, embers are flaring up again and again, which the emergency services could not completely extinguish because steel beams are blocking the way. You now have to wait for the demolition company, which frees the warehouse from the overturned steel girders, the fire brigade said. It is assumed that the post-extinguishing work will take the entire day.

The warehouse with machine parts and paper caught fire on Thursday morning in an area of 5000 square meters in Berlin-Marzahn. At times, up to 150 emergency services were on site on Wolfener Straße. Among other things, two vehicles with turntable ladders and a helicopter, which constantly monitors the situation with a thermal imaging camera, were deployed. The fire caused a high cloud of smoke over the Marzahn-Hellersdorf district. The investigation into the cause of the fire continued.
