Climate activists are daubing the Brandenburg Gate with paint – again
Climate activists from the “Last Generation” painted the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin with orange paint. It is not the first action of this kind.
Climate activists once again daubed the Brandenburg Gate with orange paint on Thursday. As the group Last Generation announced on Thursday, members colored the west side of the building with brushes. The Berlin police reported on X, formerly Twitter, that two climate activists had been arrested.
The Brandenburg Gate is currently being prepared for cleaning work on the east side following a previous paint attack by the group. Police arrested 14 climate activists in the first attack in mid-September. In total, the work should cost at least 115,000 euros.
