Benyamin Netanyahu “successfully” operated on for a hernia

Benjamin Netanyahu is doing well. The Israeli Prime Minister underwent “successful” hernia surgery, according to a statement from his office published on Monday.

He is “in good shape and starting to recover” specifies his office at the end of this operation on Sunday evening, followed very closely while Israel has been at war against Hamas in the Gaza Strip for almost 6 months.

Demonstration in Israel against Netanyahu

The same evening of this operation, thousands of Israelis demonstrated in Jerusalem to call for the resignation of Benjamin Netanyahu and the release of Israeli hostages held in Gaza, at a time when negotiations aimed at finding an agreement allowing such releases seem in an impasse.

The war was triggered by an unprecedented Hamas attack on Israeli soil on October 7 which caused the deaths of 1,160 people, the vast majority civilians, according to a count established using Israeli data. Israel vowed to annihilate Hamas and launched a military operation in the Gaza Strip that left 32,782 people dead, mostly civilians, according to Hamas’ health ministry.
